I am an incredibly structured and A-type personality, and my perfectionism has been a limiting factor my entire life. My art has served as therapy. For the last seven years, I've been on a journey to embrace imperfection through abstract and "uncontrolled" painting. As I've grown and healed, I have found myself feeling free to bring structure back into my work. This piece is part of a new style I'm experimenting with through a series of "graphic" looking florals. This specific color palette was inspired by Taylor Swift's new "Tortured Poet's Department" album, as it's been the soundtrack to my painting sessions.
